Specialty and Experience

A passion for helping people who are ready for positive change has led me to hone my skills in EMDR, Hypnotherapy, CBT and similarly effective modalities.  Nineteen years of practice have shown me the intensely positive effects that Mindfullness, EMDR and Hypnotherapy have on allowing clients to transform long stored distressing emotions.  Through various forms of clinical Hypnotherapy, EMDR and CBT, clients experience  calming and empowering new ways that they can overcome stress based thoughts, feelings and behaviors.  I am a Certified EMDR therapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist, licensed to practice psychotherapy in Virginia and Washington D.C.

I've worked for the INOVA Health System, Kaiser Permanente and have since been in private practice.  Through ongoing training and extensive experience, I've developed a skill set to support clients who are ready to address and clear out the effects of post traumatic stress, or who just simply want to live life with less anxiety, more confidence and joy.  I enjoy working with my clients to create lasting, positive shifts in their lives so that trauma and self doubt are left in the past.
